NATURE
Nature in Greece is generous, abundant & potent. Our land is a global bio-hotspot of natural diversity, home to over 6,000 plant species — 1,500 of which are endemic and found nowhere else. These pure ingredients grow in an ancient, untouched landscape.
For over 25 years, our agricultural team has mapped Greek flora, driven by a commitment to work in harmony with nature. We believe in conserving our precious resources by teaching sustainable farming practices and investing in the farmers who hand-pick and harvest with care.
We support an ecosystem of local communities, partnering with traditional organic cooperatives across Greece. Many of these farmers have cultivated the land for generations. We choose to invest in sustainable farming — especially in underdeveloped rural regions.
Supporting, not competing with local farmers

It starts with primary research to discover ground-breaking natural active ingredients. They normally come from plants with extraordinary powers to survive, adapt and fortify themselves, like the Black Pine species that have thrived in the Mediterranean for 3,5M years.
Then comes biological research to deeply understand those ingredients and how they work at the cellular level to enhance and transform our skin. Then it goes into the lab where our all-women expert team formulates the most efficacious natural products globally! More than 500 safety and efficacy tests are performed for each and every product. Our processes and protocols are the guarantee for top quality.

KORRES develops and uses proprietary active ingredients derived from certified organic plant materials cultivated exclusively in Greece. We maintain 24 active collaborations with local farmers, cooperatives, and institutions through long-term agreements rooted in our commitment to sustainable, organic farming.
These partnerships are more than just supply chains—they are part of a holistic ecosystem that protects biodiversity, supports local economies, and ensures traceability and transparency at every stage.
Our scientific team, in close collaboration with the Agricultural University of Athens, oversees the entire cultivation cycle—from careful soil selection and seed sourcing to organic farming practices and responsible harvesting—ensuring the highest quality and potency of our ingredients.

Formulas Begin in the Lab
Over the past 15 years, KORRES has led four European primary research projects and five national programs, all centered on the discovery, extraction, and cosmetic application of natural active ingredients and advanced biotechnological tools.
Our most recent EU-funded initiative, AQUAPACK (2025–2029), focuses on developing sustainable packaging derived from marine plant residues. Earlier projects include:
- OPTIBIOCAT (2013–2017) – exploring enzyme-based biocatalysts
- NATPROTEC (2012–2016) – dedicated to identifying bioactive compounds from plant biodiversity
On a national level, programs such as GREEN WILD ROSE and COSM-AGE investigate Greece’s endemic flora and contribute to the creation of next-generation cosmeceuticals.
