Earth’s gold, nature’s most precious plant, the Saffron flower, else known as the Krocus flower, grows in Kozani, North Greece. Its cultivation is a century-old tradition carried out by locals of the 20 sourrounding villages to this.

The Kozani Saffron Producers Cooperative is based in the Krocus village, in Kozani. The 1,000 farmers-members of the Cooperative keep traditions alive, while infusing generations to come with their inherited mastery and deep knowledge on Krocus cultivation. Around 400,000 bulbs/hectare are planted during summer months and those bulbs will grow to beautiful flowers for the next 6-7 years. The Krocus flowers are collected each October. The production of precious Greek Saffron made from the flowers delicate, yet powerful dried red stigmas, is a manual and time-consuming process, requiring attention to detail.

The precious Greek Saffron stigmas are taken to the KORRES Extraction Lab and stored in stable humidity and temperature conditions, while undergoing strict controls to ensure specific quality parameters, as per the
ISO 3632 standard.
The extraction takes place at the environmentally-friendly, certified KORRES Extraction Facility. Using the cold maceration method and 100% natural, skin-friendly solvents, we ensure that the qualities of our potent natural actives are sustained.
The flower’s red stigmas are a rich source of superior-antioxidant crocins. We produce an extract, featuring a bright orange color and a uniquely fresh scent.
Our Golden Krocus formula contains literally day-fresh Greek Saffron extract to maintain its
maximum antioxidant potency.
